Any fitbit users?

I'm curious if anyone with a fitbit and MyFitnessPal records walking/running other than as steps? Loke if I went for a 45 min walk/run on the treadmill my fitbit counts my steps and syncs with myfitnesspal...so do I need to add anything as activity besides what automatically goes between the two apps?? I hope I explained that ok...lol makes sense in my head. Lol.
