Recalibration time -- what is the "low" in "low carb"?

I WANT to be fine at 50g carbs, but I'm just not. I don't really understand why (maybe because at the higher--by this I mean higher for me--carb levels I haven't been as careful about the quality of my carbs), but someday I'll figure it out. For now I only feel good and lose weight at less than about 30g a day. To my knowledge, I'm not insulin resistant or anything like that, but my body just likes fewer carbs. I don't even know. A few months ago, I felt like I knew everything I needed to know about this WOE, but now, after a couple months of ups and downs and stalls, I feel like I'm missing something. Dropped my carbs back down to 25g or so, and I started losing again, but it's a very tenuous relationship between me and the scale right now...0
