From everyone that has posted which fruits and vegetables they have eaten for the rainbow challenge, it would seem that white and purple are the hardest ones. I went on-line to find some examples to help you out.

WHITE: bananas, white peaches and nectarines, brown pears, cauliflower, garlic, ginger, onion, parsnips, mushrooms, turnips, shallots, white fleshed potatoes and white corn.

PURPLE/BLUE: blackberries, blueberries, grapes, plums, prunes, raisins, black olives, purple asparagus and cauliflower and cabbage and carrots, eggplant.

Thank you all much! I was just sitting here trying to figure out what to eat from the rainbow that would be easy. I am sooo going to get a box of raisins

I just looked at the spreadsheet. Thanks, Karen, for entering your minutes...and you did the dance! That's awesome! We are almost to Ireland, but remember the more minutes we do, the more points we get, and because we have a smaller team, we have to work extra hard! Have a great last two days everyone!

I have not been putting my food in my diary this week. I need to get on that.
I AM going to do this irish dance thing....sometime this weekend. No exercise today, but hopefully I will fit in some exercise this weekend.

My rainbow was a red apple, a green pepper, an orange carrot, white onions and garlic and purple/blue blackberries. What sort of Irish dishes did everyone prepare this week? If you haven't there's still time. It doesn't have to be an entree. It could even be a real Irish coffee. Get creative and try to find something simple. Good night everyone...it's bedtime here in the Eastern time zone.

Mauli, no need for you, or anyone, to apologize on here! We are ALL only ever doing what we can! You just deal with your daughter and her hair (I don't even want to know!). Besides, you've already recorded a ton of minutes this week! Keep up the great work!

walked to the gym (20 mins)
    treadmill (35 mins)
hand bike not sure the real name its like a bike for your arms (10 mins)
    recumbent bike (11 mins)
    cross trainer (13 mins)
rower (3 mins not done this very much so i struggled to do it)
    swimming (45 mins)
    walk home (25 mins)
    total 162 for sunday

went a bit off track at the weekend with some take out food though.

Kate, got you entered. Nice gym workout!

Jenny, amazing workout today! Don't beat yourself up for having some take out on a weekend... it's only one meal. Besides, you made up for it by working your butt off today!

Ruffa, "only" 60 minutes of running! Nice job! Salad sounds amazing, too!

Wow Jenniferblack129 way to go! ruffalicious, that salad sounds yummy!
Friday: did 30 min Zumba after the kids went to bed. This team really motivated me to do that.
Sat I taught 2 1/2 hour dance classes (it's not at all strenuous, but it is still excercise in my opinion.) Today I did the Irish dancing woohoo (as a dancer and we teach irish at our studio, I wasn't all too impressed with the teaching. But I was impressed that it was so slow a lot more non- dancers could have gotten it, ya know)! And I did some weight lifting. While my eating was still terrible all weekend (again), I at least exercised more. Exercising to me has always been easier than eating right.

Happy Sunday Wildflowers...... I am really proud of us all. Keep up the great work.

I have updated the spreadsheet for this upcoming week to add the color and formulas to add the totals up.

I just want to say that I have struggled with my weight for a long time and for the first time in a LONG time I am having fun losing weight and really appreciate being on the same team as all of you. Let's keep up the hard work and keep on being active and eating right majority of the time :)

Tori, your exercising is awesome! (I hope you recorded all those minutes and the Irish dance roadblock on the spreadsheet!) Keep plugging away and the eating will come. You just got to keep trying!

Thanks, Melanie, for the spreadsheet update.

So....are we all ready to travel to Hershey, Pa?!! I actually went camping there as a kid on a summer vacation. I remember there was an amusement park, that's all. I remember we also went to Gettysburg; my Dad was interested in the Civil War history. This time I get to go there with all of you! And if we enjoy some chocolate while we are there, we'll just log it first!!! Good night, Wild Flowers!

Congratulations, Team Wild Flowers! What a great week we had getting to Ireland! We overshot our minutes by 64%!! There were five of us who were able to exercise all seven days last week, including Shelby, Ruffa, Tori and Mauli. Over 600 minutes each for Shelby and Ruffa....way to go, ladies! We had five brave souls attempt the Irish dance, almost all of us did the five colour food rainbow challenge and 66% of us logged our meals for 5 days. I'd say that is a recipe for success! Keep up the great work, team!

IF ANY OF YOU STILL HAVE ENTRIES TO MAKE TO THE SPREADSHEET, PLEASE GET THEM IN SOON SO I CAN UPDATE OUR AMAZING TOTAL!!!!

Good morning, Ruffa! Thanks for re-posting that Omega-3 foods link. I saw that one, too. I take an Omega-3 capsule every day, so I don't even think about it, but if you are wondering where to get your Omega-3's from food, then check it out!

I hope everyone has seen Melodie's week #3 golden ticket post. 3307 miles to Hershey, PA. That should be a piece of (low calorie) cake for us!!

EVERYONE needs to try to do at least one Roadblock. They look quite doable this week. Of course, you can always do both for extra points! (Hint, hint!)

Roadblock#1 - Easter Egg Fitness Challenge Video. Each time you do this 5 minute workout, you get 5 points for a maximum of 25 points! The exercises can be modified if need be. For example, you can always put your foot down or you can rest between crunches, etcetera. Give it a try! (Bonus: exercise minutes each time you do it!)

Roadblock#2 - Post your favourite egg recipe on the thread that Melodie has started in the "Discussions" section. 10 easy points. I am also assuming she wants us to eat this recipe (or some eggs) this week!

Nutrition Challenge - Consume Omega-3's five days this week. 10 points, no partial points.
I take an Omega-3 capsule every day, but if you are looking for them in your food, Ruffa has shared a link on our team thread.

Accountability Challenge - Drink half your water weight in ounces every day this week for 10 points. For example, if you weigh 160 LBS, you would drink 80 ounces of water each day, which is 10 cups.

Good luck, Team Wild Flowers! Let's get on our way to Hershey, PA!
