Hi all! I'm new to this group. Heard it's the best! I have recently been diagnosed w the beginning of a hip stress fracture. I believe I've been dealing w it for 6 months. Took that long to get the diagnosis. Thought it was a back issue at first. It's very odd, I now finally have the diagnosis but feel fine. One doc tells me to stay off of it completely, use crutches/water. Another doc says just be careful, biking and swimming are fine. She thinks it's likely been healing over the course of the 6 months. I'm getting tested for osteoporosis next week. I've had 2 fractures in a a year. Family history, I've had a long history w eating disorders and likely several other risk factors.

I was a very consistent runner, but for six months have not been able to do much. Trying to keep my head up. Any suggestions of what I can do are greatly appreciated. I'm trying to watch what I eat, but given by eating disorder past, I fear becoming too obsessed w moderating food. When I do restrict at all, the result is usually a binge. Im in the best place of recovery of ever been, but it still feels precarious. Just feel kind of stuck. I do need to lose a little weight, but I absolutely can't risk it relapsing! I've had years and years of professional support, but need to try it without due to $$$ and it's time to continue my recovery without as much professional help.
