I had saute'd broccoli with crumbled bacon tonight. Now Normally I use non-stick spray and maybe a very light drizzle of olive oil. Tonight I used real butter and coconut oil. What a taste difference! I mean I love broccoli, but the difference was amazing on how much better it was, and the smell while cooking it was incredible.
Can't wait to try some more things.

I'm sure everything tastes better cooked in bacon, but in particular, green beans and Brussels sprouts absolutely rock the bacon grease!
If you're sauteing with butter, I recommend switching to clarified butter or ghee, it has a much higher smoke point and still delivers the great butter flavor (in fact an even better flavor in my opinion). Regular butter may start burning in your pan before your food finishes cooking.0 -
I'll look up clarified butter, wouldn't want to burn anything. I'm so used to the non-stick spray, I have to get used to using butter and the other oils/fats I didn't use before.
Green beans with bacon does sound good!0 -

I do a sautéed spinach in butter/olive oil with bits of red onion and bacon. Also very good! Try melting cream cheese in with your veggies too, also yummy.
