First taste of Chinese food since September

Today is my mother's 93rd birthday. We'll go and say hello, have tea, then go for Chinese food.
Normally, since having my gallbladder out, and all the complications that went with that, I couldn't eat chinese food without being in immense pain for days,
So, today, with a little help from the pancreatic enzymes the doctor gave me, I will try again, I'll take it easy, not gorge myself, and see how it goes.
I have my fingers crossed.

Well, I really enjoyed my meal tonight. Ate more than I planned, but not to the point of gluttony. Then I went to my sister-in-law's home for coffee. I'm feeling pretty good. We'll see how I feel tomorrow, but if tonight is any indication, I should be just fine. Definitely over my calories and carbs today, but it has been awhile that I went over. The last two weeks I have actually been under my caloric goal.0

Just tested my blood sugar. Drum roll please... 7.6 (136.8). perfectly acceptable after a meal.
I can relax this evening and not worry about a big sugar spike, or drop during the night.0 -
