Hey all!
Sherry - Hopefully you get some rest today and start feeling better! What holiday is it there?
Laura - When is your race? I was trying to remember but couldn't.
Sherry - I have to take Zyrtec everyday of my allergies get insane here!
Arizona doesn't do DST which I absolutely love! No changing clocks ever. Right now we're Pacific time zone...in the fall we'll match Mountain time. It gets confusing trying to remember the time difference but I prefer not having it bright out until 9 pm. I guess we got an exemption due to the fact that in the summer we can only go outside and do things at dusk and if we did DST, dusk would be at 9 instead of 8. Random fact of the day for you.Im on antibiotics as my dad is fairly certain I had strep. Now my sore throat is gone, but the low grade fever is still hanging around so I'll probably have to call him today and see if that's normal. So still no training until the fever is gone. Grrrrr. Today I'm hoping to use the time productively. Get a head start on some projects. My hubby also got me a massage certificate so I might see if I can go use that this morning. Or later this week. Oldest has piano lessons.
Made a new recipe that was a spicy Asian chicken with lots of Brussels sprouts and broccoli. It was delicious and the kids even eat it! So I call that one a win! Oldest also had her musical performance yesterday. It was hilarious and adorable!
I'm off to get munchkins ready for school. Have a great day!0 -
Hi! I didn't think you did DST there. Funny how NOT messing with the time can be more confusing than actually messing with it, because everyone around changes.
The holiday is clean Monday, when you stop eating meat (vs. burnt Thursday for eating meat, we had a couple weeks ago). Normally, it's a day to fly kites, but the weather was bad today (like nearly every year on this day) and I was in bed most of the day feeling lousy still.I managed to heat heat some ez food for kids first dinner, and reheat some food that the kids greatgrandmother sent for the kids for their main dinner. In between, I made some hummus, which, with pita, is all I ate today...just not feeling hungry (and besides... hummus...yum!) Normally, stuff like hummus comes fairly easy (after I've soaked the chickpeas), but at this point my cupboards are so bare I don't even have the basic ingredients for that anymore after this last batch. I need to feel better and do some real shopping! And don't get me started on my nagging cats! Lol. Gotta hit the pet store tomorrow fo sure, so I can stop rationing their food, lol.
One things for sure, once this cold is gone, I'll be hitting the gym! I'll just be so happy to feel normal again.
Btw, legs have been okay. I've had to massage a couple times, but definitely feeling better than any time in the last year. Still not going to rush into running again yet. Want to do it right.0 -
I guess I set my clocks back way too far---just realized I put today's date as 2006. No wonder I look so young today!!
Really hungry today, trying to eat lots of produce. Slept through workout but got in a little stroll at work. Mom is visiting later in the week and staying for almost a week... she and my husband don't get along and my in-laws are going to be visiting their new grandchild (not mine)...SERENITY NOW!
