Hi my name is Nellie I'm new. I had a problem with my stomach for many years ( irritable bowel syndrome) and was wondering if eating low carb will stop the pain. What was everyone's experience with eating low carb to cure stomach pain?

I eat low carb for RA symptoms but I found it helped my IBS type symptoms as well so hopefully it will help you too!0

I would recommend it. My husband had IBS for years, and has been to the doctor more times then we can ever count. He took a lot of different meds over the years and nothing really worked. He went low carb and mostly grain free (but not keto) with me about 3-4 months ago and his IBS is practically a non issue now. He has also cut out nearly all processed foods as well, even the so-called 'health foods' in a wrapper, and we focus on eating a whole foods menu. He still has the occasional beer or slice of pizza, but not very often. Good luck!0

It has completely eliminated mine. I had the, be driving down the road and MUST STOP NOW kind! Lol
I used to have to take fiber supplements and daily probiotics to be normal. I still take probiotics occasionally, just because I still think they are good, more often opting for kombucha a few times a week, but fiber has become completely unimportant. I average about 5g a day and make zero effort to get fiber.
The only issue I have now is occasional constipation from eating too much cheese mostly.0 -
@JBcat123 I eat LCHF to manage my Ankylosing Spondylitis type of arthritis pain for 18 months now with success.
For the past 12 months my 40 years of life defining IBS has been total resolved and hope it never comes back. Welcome to this LCHF group but we eat many different versions of LCHF.0
