I'm been subtracting my fiber from my carbs to get a net. Right my nutrition says, 28 carbs & 30 fiber?

So you would have had 58 carbs total (assuming no subtraction of sugar alcohols on that total) but only the net "counts" which is 28.
    That is correct.

Hi Mtizi, you're probably confused because different countries address carbs in varying ways on nutritional labels, so the data in MFP is not always consistent.

For example, in the U.S., you'll find fiber is included in the total carb count, so if there is 5 grams of fiber, there would have to be at least 5 total carbs.

But here in the UK, fiber is not included in the carbohydrate count, so there might be 4 grams of carbs, 3 of which are sugar and 8 grams of fiber; in that case, the total carb count would be 12 with the net carbs being 4.

My recommendation is to try and input your own data for the sake of consistency, especially for the foods you eat all the time. And if you're eating any packaged foods, check the nutritional data before selecting it and make sure it matches your packet and your preferred method of counting carbs, or whichever method is most common in your country. It doesn't really matter which route you go as long as you're using consistent data.
