Sodium tablets making me sick, anyone else?

Twice now I've taken a sodium tablet only to upchuck within about half an hour. It seems to be fairly random, though, sometimes I can take them without adverse effect! The bottle I have merely says "take as directed" so am I supposed to be taking them with food or on an empty stomach or something? Any advice?

    Try it with food. Or try breaking in half.
    I bet some food or liquid will help.

    Definitely with food. Salt can irritate an empty stomach.

    It was with or very shortly after food both times - sorry, I could have mentioned that. But I will try with liquid or at a fuller meal next time.
