Headaches

I'm getting back to keto after pregnancy and the first 6 months of breastfeeding, so it's been about 15 months since I've been keto.

My problem is I have these recurrent headaches. I'm prone to migraines but these are not typical migrane headaches. They just keep coming back day after day, even with my migraine medicine.

Is this just some variation of carb flu? I'm only about 10 days in, so I've been borderline in ketosis for about 4 days (according to ketostix). Should I just tough it out?

For the record I'm drinking a ton of water, to keep my breastmilk supply up, and taking a magnesium supplement every day.

What about your other electrolytes, sodium in particular? If you're flushing your system with all that water you're probably low - which seems to be the typical cause of "Keto flu" as it turns out. Add some broth to your day, can't hurt and will probably help.

I concur with @Phrick. Sounds like you need to up your sodium.

You are most certainly in need of sodium
