Couple Weeks on Keto

I was keto for 2 1/2 weeks before I went on vacation. I did really well on vacation with my eating. i had some chocolates (Cadbury eggs are my favorite) Well I've been back for almost 2 weeks and haven't lost anything but I have def lost inches. I'm starting to feel discouraged. I know losing inches is great but I wont lie I want to lose the weight too. I'm not really fat but I have gained some weight over the years and I want to lose it.
Any advise for me? and please feel free to add me.
HERE IS WHAT I EAT IN A DAY (mostly):
breakfast: 2 eggs with a little cheese and onion (sometimes bacon) (I also take my Vitmains: ginger root, b12, trubiotics, vitamin c)
morning snack: Atkins Shakes (I know I'm not supposed to drink them but I like them), string cheese, or something else
lunch: a green salad with cheese, onion, keto salad dressing and sometime chicken. OR what ever left overs from the night before.
Afternoon snack: celery with a tbsp of peanut butter or pork skins
dinner: some time of protein (chicken, pork, hamburger minus the bun, taco salad with lettuce, hot dogs, brats, sausage...etc)
*I'm also going to make some fat bombs this weekend and try those for snacks.
** I also drink 6-8 cups a water a day
***sometimes I have a litte Diet Dr Pepper when I need a pick me up or a new taste in my mouth
****I will be going back to the gym once my hip is better.
ANY ADVISE? THANK YOU

What are the macros for a day like that? How many calories are you eating? What is your estimated TDEE (the calorie burn MFP gives you is a good proxy for this)?
Keep in mind that 2 weeks is not very much. I can have daily scale swings of over two pounds, and women can have bigger ones. A swing of two pounds can hide two weeks of losses, at least temporarily. There is a reason we say it's not a stall until it's longer than a month with no progress in measurements or scale weight. These things happen in such small increments and have such huge margins of error that it is basically impossible to be sure you're stalled with less than a month's worth of data. In an ideal world, you want 3 months worth of data at a minimum.
** Actually today my weight was 2.6 pounds up from yesterday. No apparent reason. It happens. If you're losing only a pound a week, that single day would make it look like I was gaining weight.0 -
my calories are around 1,200. I'm about 20 net carbs a day. my carbs are up because I've been taking a fiber supplement a couple times a day. yesterday I was at 23 net carbs.
ok thank you. I won't give up then0 -
What about the protein and fat? Also, how much sugar alcohol is in the Atkins product? I am not someone who will demand that everyone avoid those products--although I know they cause me to gain weight--some people do just fine on them. I have to count all the sugar alcohols as carbs, if I am going to consume them. If you continue to struggle, the sugar alcohols would be one of the first things I would recommend reducing.
I don't know your TDEE, so I don't know if 1200 is reasonable. It usually is not. Very few people absolutely need to be that low, and it is usually a sign that you're trying to force things instead of letting them take their own natural time.0 -
I eat small meals mostly because I get filled up easy. My dinners are probably higher in calories but if I put 1600 calories a day and only log 1200, MFP wont let me close out my food diary. I do pbly eat more calories and do an estimate of what I eat because I haven't got a food scale yet.
Ok i'll def look into the sugar alcohols in the shakes. I just started drinking them last week.0 -
My advice is to give yourself some credit!
Why do we want to lose weight? Because we want to be smaller right? Isn't that what we equate losing weight to? Getting smaller? Less fat?
Well... You've gotten smaller! You've done it! You've succeeded! That's awesome! The best advice I can offer you is probably the hardest thing for any of us to do. Don't be so concerned with what the scale says.
You are not giving yourself credit for visibly reducing body fat regardless of what the scale says, you're smaller. Does it make sense that the scale is the same? No, but you don't have control over all of the things that affect weight. You DO have control over your body using or storing fat. And you're obviously doing it right. So celebrate that! Don't let the scale get into your head and steal that from you.
I've been fighting this battle since I started, myself. I'm winning!

Losing inches is wayyy better than scale weight. No one knows what your scale says they just know what you look like. I have friends that are 'thin' per the scale but look flabby and one's who are 'overweight' by scale definition but look amazing!
Sounds like you're doing everything right. Stay calm and keto on.0 -

Well said.
Just keep at it. As the others said, it will come.

My situation is extreme, imo, but last June I hit a new low on the scale, then didn't lose any new weight until October! I did lose inches though. Was a huge trial of patience, and trusting the process! But I stuck with it, and am so glad I did. This has given me power over what the scale says that I've never experienced before. Try not to allow that number to be your only motivation, because there are so many other motivators that are not liars like the scale can be! You're doing great! Hang in there!0
