Keto hiking snack ideas?

Hello everyone,
I will be going hiking tomorrow for the first time! It's supposed to be about 75 degrees and about 7 miles round trip. We will be spending all day out there from 6am until about 2-3pm. I'm excited and nervous. But I'm kind of stressing myself out on what to bring to eat. We are supposed to bring a lot of snacks and pack a lunch. I'm bringing some nuts.. For my lunch I was thinking a salad with a lot of fat... I just can't really thinking of anything else. I also plan on eating a big breakfast beforehand but I don't want to be out there without enough food bc I'm sure everyone else is bringing chips/sandwiches etc and I don't want to be tempted. Any ideas?

Beef jerky! It's great hiking/backpacking food.0

Agree with jerky! Toss some coconut flakes into your nuts iifym. Hardboiled egg if you have a means of keeping it cool (which I assume you do if you are bringing a salad.) Don't weigh yourself down too much.
I think sodium might be an issue so if you take supplements, keep it up! Otherwise, maybe bring a little pickle juice. I think they have it in little shot bottles for athletes or you can bottle your own from the jar if you have the means.0 -
Make your own trail mix. To your nuts and DorkothyParker's recommended coconut flakes, you can add seeds (e.g., pumpkin, sunflower), cacao nibs or small pieces of very dark chocolate, etc. Here's a nice recipe for a spiced trail mix that includes mixed nuts and coconut flakes roasted in coconut oil:

Canned tuna is another option for a high protein snack. Olives, cheese, cold cut slices - an antipasto trail mix :-)
Of course, some of this depends on your ability to keep snacks cool.0 -
How long have you been LCHF? You might not need to bring as much food as you think. Spike your water bottle with NuSalt and bring a chunk of summer sausage or something and you should be good.0

Pork rinds, cheese stick, any kind of individual nut or seed packs. Most other things I was going to list have already been mentioned.0
