Hi all, my cousin who is vegan, gave me a great recipe for tofu. Trust me once you taste this, your aversion to tofu will disappear and you will never eat it any other way.
1 package extra firm tofu
.5 small onion
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
Heat oil in a pan, sauté the onions till semi soft. Grate half the tofu on a regular cheese grater. Add to frying pan. Sauté a bit longer. Add the two tbsp soy sauce spreading it over the tofu. Continue to fry until the tofu seems more firm. Serve with your choice of veggies. I like it with a spinach salad or low carb coleslaw.
Very filling and 325 calories for half with almost 20g of protein.
