Hello, I am new to the group, but not to MFP. I don't usually do the community side, but I am going to give it a go in an effort to maintain my motivation. I am three weeks into a program with Medi-Weightloss Clinic. below are my current numbers:

I feel pretty good about those numbers. Do you guys do any meal prep? If so, what do you find to be the easiest? I struggle finding a balance between work, home and health. I feel better than I ever have and am kicking myself for not doing this sooner.

You appear to be doing really well. Nice work. :)

I do no extra meal prep. I make food for the family and make mine LCHF. I'll skip the potato or noodles and focus on the meats and veggies (although not lately as I am getting into the April all meat challenge). I might add extra fats, or cook a bit extra meats so I can have some for leftovers the next day.

I think we all struggle with balance too. ;)

like nvmom, the only extra meal prep I really do is to make enough to be sure there are leftovers for the next day (or sometimes, the rest of the week if I get carried away :D ). I have enough to get done without spending all of my weekends in the kitchen, you know? I think for some people it works and for some it is even vital to success but definitely not for me.

I batch cook. Typically, on Sunday's I'll cook a roast in the crockpot, a bunch of chicken in the oven, and make Canadian-bacon 'jerky' for snacks. As its done, I'll portion it out and make some heat-and-eat meals (add frozen veggies and fats to the trays) that I use for work lunches or traveling meals. I also freeze extra portions of the meats for bad days/ weeks when I can't cook.

Right now the muscle disease I have is flaring, and I can't chew well or swallow easily. My friend came and helped prepare a couple weeks worth of puréed meats and seafood, as well as a few days with of veggies, which are portioned out and frozen now. It's a big time and energy saver for me, all I have to do is take a couple of the frozen "pucks" and microwave them. Add sour cream to perfect the texture and I have an easy-to-swallow meal ready in a few minutes.

    Good work indeed! Welcome!

Two of us are low carbers so we make the low carb meal and add the high carb for those who want it. Potato, peas, carrots etc. The only time we might 'insist' that others eat low carb with us is when we do a veggie pasta, and I have added a bread basket to that meal. We have been doing this long enough that we are not tempted. So, no extra meal prep here either. Many of our low carb recipes are enjoyed by others. The big winner lately has been hemp heart rice recipe available on ruled.me
