    Added 4 miles yesterday. I was looking forward to a Saturday I could get out with my husband, but the thunderstorms are almost here, so it might not happen. I hope they clear out by late afternoon.

    April total 67 miles.

    Got in 13 miles on ex bike yesterday morning before work & again this morning to hit a personal goal of ""500"" (actually is 502 but I don't think I've ever hit 500. Next month I will keep my miles low & add in weight training. I am losing muscle mass & that's NOT good.

    @vhuber -- this is my problem as well. I have problems with changing the mindset that I need to burn calories through miles, cardio and have lost muscle mass as well. Need to shift the focus to weights and strength training and maybe my record breaking plateau will end.

    That being said, adding 5 miles today :blush:

    MFP Giro d'Italia Challenge is starting up May 6th though May 29th. If anyone here is interested in a fun, challenge that follows the pro stagerace, there a few spots left before teams are formed. All you need is a bike, Strava account and the desire to ride on a virtual team on the days that the Giro ride. You can ride as many or as few miles as you want on outdoor rides. Sorry but indoor stationary or trainers won't count. There are 3 rest days built into the challenge. This is my second year doing the Grand Tour challenges.     Adding 15.8 today, half marathon #5, plus walking to and from car to race...

    I got PR by 12 minutes, yeah! Beyond excited!
    And now I'm exhausted! I'll have to think about my May goal a little later!

    Now climbing aboard the GOAL train are @FUTURE_ROCKSTAR (with an upped goal!), @SCARFE9991, @TAZZYTHATSME (despite being sick this month with Chicken Pox!), @LISAH8969 and @2ESSIE!!! :drinker: :drinker:

    Walked w/DH this morning then got on the recumbent for 45 mins and an episode of Castle then did another challenge workout. Reading now. It's beautiful today!

    04/29 - 2.95 miles
    04/30 - 7.05 miles
    04/30 - 12.50 bike miles

    I am right there with both of you gals. I dropped 12 training for this half but did not get weight training in much this winter due to work and my dad's health. I am going to work on increasing speed, my cycling and weight training.

    Awesome job on your new PR! Time to celebrate girl. One of my running club pacers told me today to hang with her and she will get me a PR. The mind is willing but the body is holding together on a roll of KT tape...lol.

    Finishing out with a 1.17 shakeout run with my school kids at the Kids Marathon today. Got the fourth grade gal I have run with for the past three years a new PR. Too much walking today. For another 7. Race day tomorrow.

    Too rainy and grey yesterday to get outside. :( Plus, my body must be fighting something off. I sat down yesterday to watch a ball game and the next thing I remember is waking up 2 hours later. I'm feeling a little better this morning and I see a few breaks in the clouds, so maybe I can start May off better than I ended April.

    1 mile yesterday for a total of 68 miles in April.

    I'm there too. I'm taking a break from distance running and focusing on weights and speed. Hope the change in the routine brings good things!
