New here...12 day streak!

I am not super new to MFP, have tried it in the past. But I am in my thirties now (33) and it's time to get serious. I feel different about it this go around. I am armed with way more knowledge and definitely think this is it for me! I've been lurking around the boards, but thought that I should introduce myself now.
I am from Houston, TX USA and would love to find other local people, but am interested in connecting with people from all over too!

For me, I've always had to want it, otherwise I didn't care enough to try. I just moved from Houston a little over a year ago and I miss it a lot. I have a lot of friends that LARP out there with Amtgard.
