Weighed in this morning. Starting April at 140.0. Logging, walking, biking, sleeping.
Chris0 -
I am down 1 pound from March. Weighed in at 146.2 this morning. Still need work on my logging. And not having any of those "not logged little extras"!
Shelley0 -
Nice weigh-in, Chris!!
Surprisingly, I was back down to my pre-Easter weight yesterday morning - 141! Only took me 4 days to lose that extra 3.5 pounds. I was back up to 141.5 this morning, but I'm guessing that's 'cause my 200-pound squat yesterday is still kicking my glutes in the butt.Probably retaining a bit of water.
I'm starting Stronglifts 5x5 next week, which will involve deloading all my lifts and re-progressing with them. It's supposed to be one of the best programs around for building strength, so I'm excited! I think I'll take some before shots Monday morning. And my husband's doing it with me, so yay!
I also have a goal to hit 10,000 steps a day for at least 20 days this month. With my library job, that should be easy. I hope. And speaking of which, can I just say how nice it is to leave work with a huge smile on my face and a feeling of excitement to go back the next day? It's so much better than, "Oh gosh, this just needs to end" like my last job.0 -
Oh, all you 140ishers! I must catch up with you, yes yes!
I'll weigh tomorrow, forgot today.
Paula
p.s. Shelley, if there were freeze-dried black worms in my taco dinners, I'd lose weight too!
0 -
What? Paula is that what the auto correct did to my taco dinner? Egads. I really do not think I would have noticed though.
Paula yes do catch Up/Down to us.
Michelle great job getting it back down.
Holding steady again. I did not log last night. Computer was sluggish and I was just to tired to deal with it.
Shelley0 -
Thanks, Michelle! And nice job on the steps! Glad you are enjoying your job. Hard to find sometimes. Have fun with your Strong Lifts 5X5.
Come on Paula...gotta get catching 'down' with us!!
Shelley, good job holding your number!!
After everything was said and done this morning...I was down .6. I'll just have to see if it holds for tomorrow.
Later, my friends!
Chris0 -
Paula I love this photo of you. And I saw where you weighed with wet hair! So true.
Thanks Chris. Great job on being down! I was looking on the Darabee site. I found a section on there for daily challenges! I might have to try some.
Michelle I love the pictures! Thanks so much. I hope to have time to check out that game. Thanks for the tip. I bet you will be able to get loads of steps at a library! My sister in law worked at a library for years. Glad you are loving it.
Today I played at cleaning. Balanced the books. Went to dinner at a friend's house. Looked at pictures of the new born grandchildren (twins boy and girl). They are still in the children's hospital in Denver. It was a good day. And got in some weights.
Shelley0 -
Down a little this morning. Hoping for more tomorrow. We'll see. Got my hair cut today...maybe that will help!!
Chris0 -
Chris, I can shave your head for you, that will help a little bit too!
Shelley, Twins - how sweet! Congratulations.
I was 163.5 earlier this week and it dropped to 162.5 today, which feels normal. So I'm going to split it and start April at 163.
Paula0 -
Paula, I like the splitting idea!!
Shelley, can't imagine having two at the same time when one is a hand full!!
I was up just a tiny bit this morning at 5:30. Hope tomorrow brings better news.
Chris0 -
Paula splitting the difference is great. And helping Chris with her hair cut is diabolical!
Chris he already is complaining about being tired. And the twins are not even home yet!
I was down to 145.6 this morning. It has been a number of years since I saw that last.
Shelley0 -
Congratulations, Shelley!! Good job! Love when that happens.
Paula I totally missed your haircut offer...I'm afraid shaving my head would scare the little children more than it would help with my weight loss.
Walking, Biking then off to 1st grade for me. Will try to get our challenge in or a DVD this afternoon. Weight was up .4 this morning. Frustrating.
Have a really great Tuesday, my friends!

Barely stayed in my calories today. But I logged it all.
Thanks Chris. I am sure tomorrow it will be up a little. But it is a great start! Sorry about the climb in weight. But if you get in a DVD it will surely help.

Michelle, Can I share that cute picture here - the one of you eating Lembas? - paula0
-
Congrats on the weight, Shelley!!!
Paula, sure! I apologize for its enormous size - I still have no idea how to resize pics.
I've been sitting at 141.5 for the past 3 mornings, but my body fat percentage has been steadily dropping. I'm seeing a huge difference in the mirror! And I'm hungry ALLLLL the time, even though I'm eating between 1600-1700 calories every day, sometimes more, which is more than I've done in a long time. So I feel like something is happening!0 -
At 140.0 this morning. Down a little from being up but still up!
Made a cherry soup last night from the LOTR recipe list. Will be trying it tonight with a dab of FF Cool Whip. Interesting. Will let you know how it goes.

DH added the cool whip to the Cherry Soup and said it was "Good!" I took just shy of two cups and added Chobani Simply 100 Dark Cherry yogurt to it and drank it from a mug. Sweet. I have taken another two cups and added cheesecake pudding mix to it. I will see how that turns out tomorrow. Then DH scooped out his ice cream for tonight and topped it with the cherry soup...liked it. Had a mouthful and just nodded as he walked away. Interesting.

That photo (above) is Michelle with her lembas (should have mentioned that).
Chris, your Cherry soup sounds like candy, yum!
Paula0 -
Paula I think I remember when all of our scales were lying! Grrrrrr
Michele I hate to feel hungry all the time. I so refuse to feel that way. What to do. But glad you are finding a change in the mirror!
Chris not so sure about Cherry soup. But now if you make tomato I am there!
Still hanging in the 145. something the last few days.
Shelley0 -
Nice looking cookie/lembas there, Michelle!! I would have eaten the entire batch and not shared any of them with anyone...no matter how hard they begged! That's the reason for the Cherry Soup.
Yeah, hanging at 140.0. Worked really hard at the gym last night...just ask my legs!! But now scale movement...**sigh**
The Cherry Soup was different. Won't make it again. Going to try the pudding a little later. Probably a better ice cream topping than a soup.
Shelley I don't make a tomato soup, but I do put tomatoes in most all my soups!

Shelley - I'm hungry all the time, so I eat all the time.
I'm not gaining, so that's good.
Like the rest of you, though, my scale doesn't seem to go lower than 141. Hmm. *kicks scale*
Chris - I divide the Lembas batch in half and give some to my husband. He devours it all very quickly. I savor mine!0 -
QUESTION TO EVERYONE...Does everyone have a pair of dice? I have a ROLL OF THE DICE WORKOUT that could be fun...thought we could do it next week.
I thought I posted this morning but evidently NOT!!
Michelle, nopey, nope...I would not share, but I would definitely savor every bite!! ...please pass the milk!
I was down when I weighed in this morning. I'm happy! 137.8 was my in-house weigh in. Finally!!
Today is my REST DAY so, with the exception of going to 1st grade, that's exactly what I did! We got rain this evening and that's a good thing. I'm hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow morning so DH and I can walk. Then it can rain all it wants until Sunday when we want to walk again!
I hope you all had a great Friday.
Chris0 -
Chris - If my husband likes something, I'll share it. However, he doesn't like oatmeal cookies. So . . . I make a lot of oatmeal cookies.
Scale said 140.5 this morning! Woohoo!! Maybe I'll get into the 130s this month.
All bundled up for a day at the ranch. It's 30 degrees and there are 5 inches of snow on the ground. Sometimes, I wish horses were an indoor hobby! Oh well. There's a new horse I'm dying to meet (his name is Caspian, and he's a tri-color Paint with a wavy mane and tail! So cute) and I love the people there, so it will still be a good day. And hey, no time in the saddle is ever wasted.0 -
My scale shot up 2.0 pounds this morning!! My eating was right on...I'm so upset. **sigh** I weighed more this morning nekked at home than I weighed yesterday at WW fully clothed!!! That just cannot be! UGH!!!
Okay, I'm fine. I know sometimes the scale gets lonely for the old numbers and may have been frightened at the 137.8 instead of something in the 140's. I've seen that happen before. I'll wait for tomorrow's numbers before I decide if I'm going to take an axe to the d@mn thing!!! That's reasonable, don't you think?
Chris0 -
Do you ladies have a pair of dice for the new, fun workout??0
-
Chris, my dice have 12 sides, does that still work? And yes, the scales seem to be pouting lately. Mine just dropped me back into the low 160's after holding me hostage at 165 for a few days.
Michelle, Hope your snowy trail ride isn't too much of a pain. Can you get us a picture of Caspian? He sounds beautiful. (I've always been horse-crazy.)
Raining in La Honda, happy for the irises. Shelley sent bulbs 2yrs ago and they're finally coming up. Won't know what they'll look like till they bloom. First one is purple & white. Beauty. ...pics pending...
Got balloons for MIL's 95th bday (a month late - but at least I won't bring cold germs anymore).
Paula0 -
Twelve sides will work just fine, Paula, as long as they at up to 12. Nice drop to the low 160's.
Michelle, my mind gets all gooey thinking about snow and the cold...can't imagine it. But I love horses. Well, horse pictures. Last time I was on a horse I was a teenager...a very long time ago! We rode bareback. I walked funny for days afterwards, though.
Tried to talk DH into walking in the rain...got a resounding "NO!" as he walked back into the house. We could take our umbrellas with us...
Happy B'day to your MIL again! Glad you are batter, Paula. DDD is getting a cold. Her 1st graders are little germ buckets, I'm tellin' you! Glad I haven't caught anything.
Okay, off to see if it's still raining. Walk if it's not, challenges if it is.
Chris
