Well it is finally spring in my part of the world!! The snow is melting and we have water everywhere. My walking path is dry so far... could be some flooding in a couple low spots - but I can jump them....
How about all of you?

April goal
- 110 miles (to beat last April)
- 10 days over 10,000 steps
- finish my company taxes (year end was March 31st) because I want to be ready for the golf course when it opens up !!
- organize my craft room and my pictures and be ready for a scrapbooking retreat April 22nd.
I think it is important to set goals for more than just walking, everything (in my world anyway) requires time and a priority. And on that note....walked the hallways in the hotel this morning because I was afraid I wouldn't make my 10,000 steps today!! Then when we got home earlier than expected - walked my dog....Yeah me!!!
April 1 - 5.7 miles - 12,648 steps (1/10)

April goal: 250k steps / 100 miles
Daily step goal: 7k
10 days over 10k steps
Today was my second day back at work after maternity leave. I'm going to try to stay focused this month. My baby is 3 months old and I want to start working on the remaining baby weight. I'm also doing a babywearing workout program and my goal is to walk or do one of those workout everyday for the next three weeks. Today I did both :-)
Will post steps/miles after today is over (few more hours left on the west coast).0 -

Awesome goals. And babywearing workout sounds like a good weight lifting exercise
I walked carrying my babes in a baby carrier too! Works wonders.0 -
I'm in. Goal is to peddle six days a week at least 30 min and 20 minutes strength training using chair gym five days a week.0

So looking at my numbers from last year, April was my best month at 126.28. I'm making my goal for this year 130 with 10 days at 5+. I also need to get in routine and get to the gym on at least 3 days each week. I'm starting off pretty good...we did a 5K today and I'm over 6 miles as I type, probably won't hit 7, but we will see. We've also rearranged furniture in what will be my office once I get going from home...7 weeks of classroom work coming up. We have a 5K in 2 weeks, also.

My goal for April is to develop some sort of consistent workout program. I would like to really have a schedule that I can keep up with between cardio and strength training.
I was on vacation last week and even after the 5 hour drive to Southern California I was able to reach my mile goal but it was a totally different story coming home 2.53 miles for that day0 -
2nd - 6.64 = 9.83 miles, 1/10
I forgot to include that with regard to my home office, I set up my exercise bike, so that for our bi-weekly 2 hour online meetings, I can pedal while I listen. I also chose to keep my huge chair in storage and am going to used a stability ball as a seat and hopefully work the abs while I work.0 -

I have a friend who has a stability ball instead of a chair in her scrapbooking room, very good idea.0 -

I bought mine from HSN. This is the official site. At 67 and with bad knees, back and half a clavicle on my left side (bone cancer), this works for me.
Have a great day everyone.

Happy Monday everyone!0 -
First day of training classes were exhausting!! Logging from phone.
3rd - 3.85 = 13.68, 1/10
Made it to the gym first thing this morning and it definitely gave me morning energy. I'm worn out now, but I know it will get easier!!0 -
Struggling this morning and have a dead fitbit. Hopefully it will charge before leaving for work.
Yesterday was a good day:
4th - 5.26 = 18.94, 2/100 -
5 - 1.77 = 20.71, 2/10.
The day didn't get much better. The new job is 7 weeks of classroom to start and it was excruciating yesterday...lol. I started my day by going to the gym today and have already beat yesterday.0 -

the chair gym is great...I just have not even started using it this month. My routine is good right now...will do my best to add it on Sunday. I am concentrating on water ... at least 48 ounces... diet (my own concoction...combo of a few things so I will stick with it)... and some cardio 6 days a week. Started on Sunday and so far so good.
Will add strength on Sunday.0 -

Sunday miles kind of sad . . . I even went to gym that morning.0 -
I'm on track with my miles so far. Class was long again yesterday, but after the gym in the morning and some steps before bed, I hit my 5!!

Ugh. First full week back at work after maternity leave. I need to figure out this new schedule. Commuting, pumping, remembering to eat lunch all while attempting to catch up on work leaves little room for walking. Got a walk in when I got home Wednesday to finally hit my goal.0 -
My non-gym days are a struggle. I've already found that on days when I go to the gym in the morning, I'm not dragging butt by the end of the day. It's nice to see the effects pretty quickly!! Keeps the motivation high.
Yesterday was a non gym day and it was exhausting, complete with a nap. LOL
7th - 2.3 = 28.04, 3/10 (about 102 miles to go in 23 days or avg of 4.4 per day - I think that's what I figured at the beginning of the month, so I'm on track!!!)0 -

Good job!! Keep it going! You'll get into a routine!! And before you know it, you'll be chasing your little guy around and getting more miles than you can count!

How is everyone doing? I think winter wants to hang on for us. We are on the edge of the cold front - our neighbours in Alberta enjoyed some really nice temperatures while we hoover around the zero to + 5 Celsius....0 -
8th - 5.22 = 33.26, 4/10
We've had really nice weather until last night. freeze warning for last night and tonight. Otherwise, it's been a pretty spring!! Happy walking, all!0
