I stuck by my doctors orders after the first gout attack and did not have a recurring attack. Limit or avoid consumption of the following foods:

Red Meats (pork, beef) Avoid
Dark Meats (chicken) Avoid
White meat chicken - limit
White Meat Pork - avoid
All Game meat (including fish and fowl, venison, etc...) Avoid
beans - limit
Processed meats (such as lunch meats, hotdogs, canned meats etc...) - avoid
Fish - limit
Shrimp and All Crustaceans - avoid
Whole grains limit
Chocolate - avoid
Tea - avoid
All Dark colored Sodas - avoid
Broccoli - limit
Tomatoes and tomato sauce - limit
Yeast (or foods that contain yeast such as bread) - avoid
Citrus - avoid
Fruit Drinks - avoid
Alcohol and Beer - Avoid
Peaches - avoid
grapes - avoid
Onions - limit
pickles - avoid
Processed foods - avoid
fried food - avoid
Broth or Bouillon - Avoid
Flour tortillas - avoid

Drink Plenty of water!

You CAN eat unlimited amounts of All dairy including milk and eggs, Hard Candy and sugars, Leafy green vegetables. Salmon is excellent especially the skin and oil because it flushes uric acid out of your body even though it contains purines.
