I don't wanna eat!

Soooo, I'm struggling a bit. A few weeks ago, I found that I was getting hungry so I added veggies. Now, I just don't wanna eat. It is really difficult to make myself want to eat my food. I'm trying yummy new recipes, and I sit down with my food and 100% don't want it.

I have to make myself continue to finish the meals that I make. Has anyone else had this problem? All of my cravings are gone and I'd live off of premier protein shakes and occasional spicy food if I could! I'm making healthy choices still and hitting slightly above my mins/targets...but it is TORTURE!

It'll pass, eventually. All you can do is spread it out, and try to keep the protein up

Oh thank you!!! I thought that I was losing my mind. It's a huge relief to know that this is normal.

I'd say I'm like that 60/40. My relationship with food has COMPLETELY changed. I know I have to eat for fuel. Sometimes, I truly enjoy what I'm eating. I make delicious, healthy food and love it. Other times, meh. I take out what I have handy and shove it in my face to get it over with. ;) Seriously, I have pre-cooked diced chicken breast frozen, I'll grab a baggie of that, heat it and toss it in cottage cheese. VOILA. Dinner. At work, my friends are good enough to remind me if they haven't seen me eat in a few hours. Still not feeling hunger, I FORGET TO EAT. Never in my life could I imagine forgetting about food.

Enjoy this time and make the most of it, because it will change. After the honeymoon period the hunger pangs will come back. Not wanting to eat and forgetting to eat is a good thing. As long as you get your vitamins and protein in you are fine. Your blood work will let you know if you are missing something. Struggling to eat is good! That is why so many are overweight eating was never a problem.

I actually used to set alarms on the weekend to remind myself to eat because it's outside of my work week routine and I would forget otherwise. The hunger pangs come back eventually, although they're still different (more like you feel emptiness or you get tired when you need something instead of feeling that sharp pain that used to come with hunger). You'll learn your body's new signals soon enough, though.
