Ratio percent?

Trying to adopt a Paleo diet again. I did it before and I really felt good and lost a lot of weight.
My blood pressure was great and so on.

So my question is, how much protein do you consume? It seems like an insane amount of protein grams when I try to record atleast 60% protein, 20 %fat and 10% carbs.

Is my ratio off for a Paleo diet ?

Play around with the ratios to get .8g of protein per pound of body weight (ex: 200lb person x .8g = 160g of protein goal), 50-150g of carbs (from a lot of veggies and some fruit) and the rest should be fat. 30%-35% protein will usually suffice for most people unless they are doing an incredible amount of heavy weight lifting.

This is an excellent guide for carbohydrate goals: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/the-primal-carbohydrate-continuum/

I usually don't follow the MFP presets, but my protein is usually around 80-90g per day. Not sure if there is a specific "rule" about the right amount of macros though. Hopefully others with more insight will chime in.

Mine is usually around 25/25/50 carb/protein/fat. But I also run and lift heavy, so . . .

So isn't 90 grams only 360 calories? How can you survive on that?

My total cals are about 1450 (without exercise), and I survive just fine :)

As the primal folks say, a high protein diet is really a high sugar diet because excess protein gots converted to glucose. I just had a bad experience with too much protein and added ~ 20#. For me I've got to keep my fat high 70/20/10. Down 6 #

I'm on 75% fat 20% protein and 5% carbs, but I get that it's a little extreme for most.
