The struggle is real for me!
Didn't post yesterday as it was a crazy day. I was at the school from 8:30 until 8:30 with a small lunch break. Youngest was still recovering so I kept him in the room with the gal counting money and an iPad. He didn't like it but behaved himself. I lugged furniture across the entire school, carted things around to set up...and again to break down. My job at the carnival was to walk around and make sure everyone had enough change, and collect large bills. I got in 20k in steps and I was sore this morning! But it all worked out, everyone had fun, and that was that.
Hubby and I doing okay. He's terrible at communication and I think I'm getting tired of dealing with it. But even more so, I have had a lot of stress this year and I'm not handling it well anymore. So I've actually been looking into some therapists in the area. Never been to one before, but I really need someone who doesn't know my hubby, my church, etc, that I can dump everything that happens on and get a clearer perspective on things. Not so much for my husband and I (although that's part of it) but I think my main issue is the amount of sass I endure and not having a clear idea of how to either handle it or reduce it. So I'm planing on shooting a few of them an email to get an idea of cost, etc. They all SHOULD be in my insurance network...but you never know. So I want to know all that and then mention it to my hubby.
Today is a slow day. I have to spend about 30 minutes at church to prep some things and show my friend what she'll be doing to help. She is now offered to take over the prep work of some of the stuff. Not a lot but it will cut about 30 minutes off my prep time which will be great each week. Need to go grocery shopping. Then I'll be done with anything for the day. I plan to sit and watch Netflix all day as I'm peopled out a bit now.
Have a great weekend!0 -
Sounds like a good idea Val. My insurance I only pay $20 copay but its pretty good insurance. I think you are right to get a person out of the church. The problem you could have though is if they aren't religious will your hubby follow advice? And if they are I just hope not like one guy i got who told me to submit to my husband. That was back when i went to church.
Its hard for church marriages because women in this day and age want to be treated as equal to their partners and a lot of churches preach the husband is the leader.
So fingers crossed you find the right person.
I am still sick, cough super bad this morning, but i finally got out of bed 1/2 hr ago, first time in two days. Couldn't handle bed any more. It makes me feel better. Have nothing scheduled until Wednesday so can take time getting better.....rather be out hiking!
