April 15 and weekend plans

I've been pretty out of it this week due to my cat's medical emergency and then business travel (to glamorous Jackson, MS).

For the weekend I need to get back to logging (I seem to log only breakfast these days) and complete my long bike ride and run plans (weather should help out for once!). I need to get back to sleeping better and wearing my HRM for training too -- fell off on both of those.

I have a half marathon a week from Saturday (treating as a training run before the one I have in early June) and then an insane swim event on Sunday (100 100s).

    Family medical emergency ( dad with stroke, fell and fractured shoulder out of town) so lots of driving, stays at his bedside, and allowing myself to be thrown off emotionally.. Drat that stress eating habit. But got two good swims and two short but speed focused runs and rides in. Learned if family matters throw me off long training times, take advantage of short times... My car looks like a homeless triathlete lives in it. Dad is doing better...

    Nope, just 25. Seems crazy. I'll report back, although I can't imagine I will finish.

    Sorry about your dad's medical emergency.

    I did okay this weekend -- didn't run as long as planned or swim (tonight!) but got in a nice long bike ride and shorter runs plus a good bit of walking.
