Hi. I've been around on MFP since 2012. I found keto in January of 2014. It worked so well that the felt melted off like crazy and my hormones were so balanced that I wound up preggo. So instead of making goal weight that year I grew a baby. And then there was the after pregnancy weight gain, which seems to be my pattern. And I've struggled with compliance for the obvious reasons (dear people in my life - STOP telling me it's okay to have [x,y,or z] just this one time. It's hard enough for me to tell myself no) and budgetary reasons (carbs are cheap, but I'm trying really really hard to get creative here). Anyways, I've not been consistent with MFP for awhile, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. I'd love of a few friends who are committed to keto. A few things to know about me. I won't cardio myself to death in order to lose weight. I do want to get back into my running at some point because it is a huge stress reliever for me, but I'm waiting until I'm lighter and faster to get back into it. I believe in heavy lifting for body composition, osteoporosis prevention, and overall well-being. I believe in a less is more approach. You won't find me at the gym six days a week. I won't starve myself in order to lose weight. Even though I'm keto, I try to be careful to be sure I don't go too low-cal, which I think can happen easily because our hunger is suppressed. A few personal things. I'm a mom who homeschool three bouncy boys. I have hypothyroidism and have the most sincere desire to go off of meds for that someday!
