Not sure where you live but my friend from USA(I live in Canada) suggested Extend bars. They taste pretty good and won't spike your blood sugar and prevents lows. I found them at Walmart. They are a treat and once in a while I will eat 1/2 a bar (the cost lol) and my fav snack are unsalted raw almonds. Filling and healthy fat..also no effect on my blood sugar!!! I am not a huge snacker so I don't have many suggestions. Meal ideas I am good at

My go to treat lately has been sugar free pudding. There are several brands. I like Swiss Miss and Jello. And they come prepackaged and that helps with portion control. Add in some berries or banana or even a lite cookie if you have the calories for it.

Cut out evening snacks, we have oranges for dessert. Byron Richards on Leptin advises 5hours between eating and nothing after dinner to give system time to rest and repair and reduce excess insulin secretion, that comes to cope with food influx. Every time you eat you start the digestive cycle again and body thinks it must produce more insulin to cope...so cycle continues...
