I just love the parts on the intrathecal proprionic acid being injected into the mice and their behavior. The presenter does mention the possible role of ketones competing for transport sites using proprionic acid...a small molecule that is implicated in causing repetitive behavior, anti social behavior, irritability, and disrupts the actions Gamma amino butyric acid ("brakes" or inhibitory neurotransmitter...proposed mechanism of action is treating seizures with ketosis).
