What about Mio?

And all of the other water flavouring products.
The Internet seems divided on the subject.
They do make it easier to drink more water but in reality they're just a bunch of chemicals.
Often times I add a slice of lime or lemon instead.
Any thoughts?

They're just a way of turning water into artificially sweetened drinks. That being said, if artificial sweetners don't bother you and you like Mio, go for it.1

Are they sweetened with Splenda? I went completely off all Splenda products when I read this in "Breaking the Vicious Cycle" which is the go-to reference for the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, designed for those of us with digestive issues:
"Splenda, aka sucralose, is a sucrose-like molecule. Basically, they have added Chlorine atoms to sucrose to make it indigestible by humans. However, since it is not digestible by us, it does not get absorbed and passes down the GI tract. It is digestible by bacteria. So in essence, if you consume sucralose, you are sending down an energy source to the bacteria you are trying to starve. So sucralose is not allowed."3 -
I only get ones that are stevia based and dye free... but usually they don't end up tasting anywhere as expected, so I rarely use them. I'd rather have a LaCroix Cherry Lime drink with a drop or 3 of stevia in it (maybe once a month or so)...0

I used to do Crystal Light but after starting Keto I have examined the nutrition label closer and I think it does contain Aspartame. There is not Crystal Light and other brands that offer flavoring mixes that use Stevia solely. I have been using these, the taste is slightly different but still great!0

Just dug out the magnifying glass. Mio is sucralose. I think all of the similar products are the same.0

many of them are sucralose. sweet leaf makes ones with stevia, they aren't sold everywhere though1

Have tried the stevia ones as well...better than the original but still ridiculously sweet. The coffee flavor 1s are sooo disappointing...I wish they could just make them black coffee concentrate without sweeter & without carbs (yes, these new ones have 4g carbohydrate/serving <<< Black bitter coffee)0 -
I bought some flavor emulsions for baking. they are not sweet and I put them in coffee from time to time. those work good for flavor without sweetness1

I use Mio. I use a bit in my ketoade every morning.0

I used to use them, but since starting LCHF have been eating more whole foods and less processed stuff and MIO seems to have fallen by the wayside.
Like most people, I use lemon, lime, cucumber, which all add a hint of flavour. But, my new favourite thing to add that is delicious added with the usual suspects, or even on its own is: PEPPERMINT EXTRACT!!! Just a drop in my 16 oz bottle gives it a crisp mintiness that is delicious and maybe even helps my breath LOL. I don't have fresh mint leaves but this is a great substitute and is easily found in the grocery store on the baking section0 -
I had to give up AS, so I just use lemon juice in water. If I want ketoade I add salt, K salt and steviastevia to the lemon water.1

I like the True Lemon/True Lime packets. Sweetened with a little stevia, 1g sugar, 10 calories and colored with beet juice (this is for the Black Cherry flavor, I haven't had the others). I've found that I can use half a packet for 16oz water, so it's really less than a gram of sugar0

@V_Keto_V They are stupid level of sweet, I agree. I tend to use the equivalent of a micro-squirt, like a finger-twitch worth, if that makes sense. More scent than taste. I imagine a bottle would last me about a year...0 -
I use Stur - natural and sweetened with stevia. Mostly I drink coffee, but when I want something cold (or even a sweet hot drink), they hit the spot.1

I have one glass of water with a sugar free flavouring each day to take my pills with as I gag taking them with plain water. I hate the chalky pill taste. But if I have more than one glass (or more specifically if I drink it all day) I retain water, it always shows up on the scale the next day. The rest of the day I drink water with either lemon, lime or cucumber slices or I'll throw a handful of mint in my water jug.1
