I had a very sleepless night last night, and the pain has been terrible this morning. But, the doctors came in for the lady in the next bed. They had some news and she had to hear it. She is dying. She took the news the way anyone would Inguess. She has two teenage kids, and now she won't be around for them. Don't you think they should have asked me to leave the room? But that's not the point I'm trying to make. Just when I think I can't take anymore, someone else is going through much worse.
I used to cry I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet. That's Sooo true.

    Thanks Jane.
I just got home today from hospital. It was a major pancreatitis attack. Haven't felt that bad since it all began in 2013. I'm mending though, and eating whole food again.
I really have to get a handle on the whole low carb low fat. I thought I was doing well, but not well enough I guess.
One bonus that comes of this, I'm down 3.5 lbs. AS long as it stays down.

I am happy you are home!! I was feeling a bit nervous for you!! You can do it!!! How many carbs did they say you could eat per day? If you're low fat too it's kinda limiting but hoping the dietician can help you with food choices!!

The dietician originally said 90 carbs per day, which isn't hard to do. It's the low fat. 'They' say, 20g per day to avoid pancreatitis. I was averaging between 20 to 35 per day, which was better than 35 to 50, but it wasn't enough I guess.
    More veggies on the menu.
Still have to meet with the endocrinologist at the end of the month. I'm sure they'll be a big help.

That's great you are seeing the endocrinologist!! I am always curious about what is recommended in the way of carbs especially...so many conflicting opinions...90 carbs...that must be net or is it total carbs? Hang in there Judy!!!You can do it and there are tons of delish veggies/veggie recipes out there!!

Well, the CDA dietician said, net carbs. So, carbs minus fibre. Good thing I like chicken and fish. LOL
