Unfortunately I need to pass on May. I am having surgery on Wednesday and will be recovering for a few weeks after ways. Hopefully I'll be back, even with a small mileage goal, in June!0

Not only did I get out yesterday morning for a nice walk, the thunderstorms held off long enough for us to get some yardwork and bush pruning done. Started the month with 4 miles.
Have an enjoyable Monday everyone!0 -

... in again for May! Going for 75 running miles this month! Big jump from last months 60 but hoping to start training for a half marathon so time to start upping the miles!
Started off with a 6 mile run today!

Alright, so April was a pretty dismal showing for me, for my first month back in awhile. Let's see if I can get May to cooperate a bit better. Starting of strong with 15.5 on the bike today. Goal for the month: 60 miles. I have a lot going on this month on Mondays/Fridays, which are my typical spin-class days, so I'm going to keep it realistic and go 60... maybe I'll blow it out of the water with bonus miles - or I'll start running again (which I'd really like to do).

You need to make sure you recover well. A lot of people injure themselves trying to come back too quickly. I think June is a good plan and we will see you then. Until then, feel free to haunt the thread.0 -

I got a 3.4 mile Treadmill interval run/walk workout with cooldown walk earlier today. Knee is doing so-so. I'm icing it right now.

I did not lose 155 pounds since Dec. but 15.5 pounds...lol.
@Dean: You are so right about pain. I keep reminding myself that I only get one knee. Is is worth it? I will re-evaluate. I am going to work with a doctor that works with lots of athletes in helping them train. She is outstanding. If it does not help, then I hang up my running shoes, and spend the time walking, cycling and swimming. It is not worth the price of a knee.
May 2: 9.75 miles of which it is all walking today and cutting grass for a few hours. Surprisingly, I feel pretty good.
TTD: 26.25 miles
