    I think most of us end up becoming minor scientists in our own right, just trying to figure out how things work and what does and what doesn't.

    It's interesting how the definitions of "attractive" change. If you look at photographs of Lillian Russell, THE dream girl of the 1890's, you have to guess that stage floors were concrete reinforced at the time. Lillian and a herd of Floradora Girls must have totaled a ton and a half.
