A 'light' 20 minute run!!

I just have to share my amazing experience yesterday. As I was planning my running schedule this week (Week 8), I decided my 3-28 minute run days, and then decided to throw in a 'light' 20 minute run on a day when I'm working late. Then I had to start crying and laughing because I spent 5 (well, 6) solid weeks afraid of W5D3. I am not recognizing the person (dare I say RUNNER!), I've become. I really feel like a runner, and this is from someone who averaged 1,000 steps a day 4 months ago. I am working hard to shed the fear and embrace a healthy me:) It's going to be an awesome summer full of tennis, volleyball and plenty of outdoor time.

W5D3 = Week 5, Day 3. Most Couch to 5k programs have you running 3 days per week for 8 or 9 weeks.0 -

In my Couch-to-5k (c25k) program, W5D3 (Week 5, Day 3) was the first time you were expected to run for 20 minutes without walking.
W5D1 and D2 were included shorter periods of five minutes running, walking, eight minutes running, walking, and five minutes running. Going from this to twenty minutes running was very intimidating. but once you do it, it's like chasing away the bogey man.2
