I am on a low carb high fat diet and I've been invited to a barbecue today, what advice would you give me for the best choice of foods.Thanks

    Eat any meats without the bun. Be careful with things like ribs they may have sugary sauces, also cole slaw and there is a broccoli bacon salad a lot of people make but both have sugar in them. Just stick with meat if you can. If you're drinking, most liquors are low carb, except some of the flavored ones, and there are a couple low carb beers out there, be careful with regular beer some have lots of carbs. Also if your drinking make sure to get enough water and keep in mind your tolerance is probably not what it used to be.

    At a BBQ I'm always hoping there's a short burger line.
    1 or 2 & I'm happy. Tomato, lettuce & a few onion slices
    topped with a dollop of mayo, good eats & right on my WOE. :)

    Hope you enjoyed yourself - I've had barbecue fri, sat and today and I can say I actually prefer bunless burgers and sausages now! You can actually taste them better.

    Meat is low carb. The cavemen didn't have buns....
