Strange Reaction to losing

I weigh in tomorrow. I'm doing super-well, can feel a difference in my clothes, and totally don't miss those sugar crashes. I'm feeling very anxious, however. I'm a month into my journey, and I'm definitely losing. But I'm getting very freaked out for some reason. Has anyone else experienced this?

I understand that lots of people get freaked out when they lose weight [especially if it's quite quickly] for some of the following reasons:
    - their friends or partner starts trying to sabotage them, gets jealous of their new look, tells them "that's enough now"
    - we start to realize we actually have to deal with flirty attentions that maybe we were "safe" from when we were heavier
    - we start to worry that maybe we're not actually in ketosis
    - we worry about what we're going to do when we finish the program, and get scared that we'll put it all back on

I think people could give you more specific advice if you could be more specific about what you're freaking out about...but YES, I would say it's pretty common.

    Good luck!!

Thank you so much! Honestly, just knowing that others experience anxiety - for a variety of reasons - helps tremendously. I think it is probably a number of things rather than just one. And I'm mind freaking it - well, at least I was last night. Today I've told myself how important it is to just take it one day at a time.

Thanks for your encouragement. I appreciate it a lot!

I know I do - I've experienced anxiety about all those things at one time or another...and I'm sure some other ones that I couldn't think of off the top of my head.

For me, it's a surreal feeling. I am amazed every week when I have a loss.
One thing that has scares me is buying new clothes. I am currently still barely fitting into plus sized clothing, and just starting to fit into regular sizes.

It freaks me out because i've always shopped at a particular plus sized store, and now i'm in the smallest size they sell. I am having a real hard time transitioning to regular stores.

It's all about my comfort zone, and having to step out of it, and do things differently. It's terrifying.

Value Village (or Salvation Army, or thrift stores) all the way!! I hate paying regular price for clothes that will be too large for me in a month or two.

Although, I gotta tell you, once you really start seeing your body shape change, it's sure nice dressing to SHOW OFF certain curves instead of dressing to HIDE certain bulges!

Oh, and once you start getting a bit closer to your goal weight, it might be worth considering a session with an image consultant to help determine exactly what your body shape is, and what is especially flattering for your shape and your own sense of style. Sometimes our BFF don't have the same sense of style or trouble spots as we do, so they can't always give us the best advice we need.

I need to check stores like that. I've been having luck at Old Navy lately. I've also got a rubbermaid bin of clothes that i've had for years that I bought when I was on a diet of some sort, They were always a bit small, and i'd say "when I lose 10 more pounds they'll fit" LOL
Now they all pretty much fit or are too big!
I go through that bin regularly to see what's in there that I can wear!
