Exhaustion

I have swum 6 out of the last 9 days, and after today's 1/2 mile, I am drained. I have been eating back about half of the exercise calories from swimming until today. Today, I wolfed down those and still felt ravenous, so I ate the other half, too. I still didn't get any energy boost from the food though.

I wonder if I've been overdoing it the last few days?

    I took yesterday as a recovery day. I did some shopping which netted me some walking calories. I went ahead and ate back all of those, and today, I feel better, so I'm getting back in the pool.

    Great job listening to your body and taking it easy when you need to! I think it's easy to forget how hard you're working out when swimming since the water keeps you from feeling hot and sweaty.

    I actually took a second recovery day yesterday, but I did go today. Swimming is deceptively hard, but I love that I don't sweat!
