    Dumb is my specialty!

Didn't look terribly interesting. Diabetes = high blood sugar. That can be due to poor glucose uptake, poor insulin sensitivity, or too little insulin secretion.

This only considers the latter. If you're hypersensitive to melatonin, you'll suppress insulin production too much.

It apparently requires multiple copies of a gene that controls melatonin sensitivity in the pancreas.

Thanks for that. I was trying to determine how it related, if at all, to the other study that showed that folks who supplemented with melatonin had lower BMI. I guess it doesn't.
    thanks wabmester.
