does anyone make their own mayonnaise - if so what oil would you use to make it with - found a Jamie Oliver recipe online but its using vegetable oil and I don't want to use that

I use olive oil, but generally cut the recipe down to save making too much.

I don't make my own; however, I recently tried a new mayo: Primal Kitchen's Mayo (Real May made with Avocado Oil). Very clean ingredient list, lots of healthy fat. Tasted a bit sour to me right out of the jar so I sweetened the jar with a few drops of liquid sugar substitute which worked for me because my may of choice in the past was always Miracle Whip. Here's a link to it if you are interested:

I made it with Avocado oil, it was good but I couldn't get through it all in a week. I've heard you can successfully freeze extra though.

I also bought the Primal Kitchen avocado oil mayo. I like it just the way it is. I like the tangy flavor a lot.
I want to get the chipotle mayo next and Thrive Market has free shipping on any order right now so I think it's time!

Thanks for the recommendations here! Thanks too @kathrout1973 for asking this question! I've always liked mayo, until recently, when I began paying attention to the ingredients (vegetable oils are not food!) In everything I eat. Placed an order!
