Sign this petition to support LCHF Professor Tim Noakes. He's coming before more hearings since tweeting to a breastfeeding mom about LCHF. They'd like to strip him of his credentials. It comes down to big pharm/industry supported, mainstream nutrition organizations vs the truth.

Unreal. Fancy being attacked for telling someone to feed their child nutrient rich food.
When you think of the GAPS work, and all of us health professionals trying to stop parents feeding so much grain and crap to their kids in order to prevent autism like symptoms, adhd and a whole host of other problems.. Grrrrr, this is a part of my my own professional journey in Australia. I'm not actually in a fight so far.
My own history so far, seems to have given me the right, or invited others to have the grace, to listen to what I say. It's nice now, that GP's and other health professionals are sending people to ask my thoughts about their physical, and particularly mental health problems and possible dietary links. Not the work I intended to be my focus, but, it has been my life.
Petition signed, thanks for alerting us.2 -
... much of the dogma of dietitians is based on old and simplistic opinions, like their cherished “dietary guidelines,” which have accumulated like guano on a rock...

It's a pure disgrace to put anyone "on trial" for advising to eat unprocessed, natural food. However, he should have refrained from answering that question in social media. Nothing boils the blood more than babies...
I think it's not a coincidence that Noakes gets this massive slag campaign. He's been very influential in sports science. I only hope that when more and more athletes realize that they can increase training volume and get less oxidative stress (better recovery), they will follow the footsteps of top athletes with Grand Slam wins like Novak Djokovic, Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn and basketball star LeBron James (off season to shed weight).
In my country a soccer team who used to be bottom scrapers went lowcarb for 8 years, won the league. In interviews they said the players shed 3% BF. Which is a lot cause soccer players aren't normally pudgy. Making them able to "run faster, jump higher and be nimble". Some rumors about cyclists in Tour De France going lowcarb too recently.
Faster recovery alone is a HUGE advantage in top level competition.
Lindsey Vonn saying fat makes her look good:

Edit: It also seems to be a theme that older athletes who want to prolong their career are more risk willing to go lowcarb.2 -
