Nice to finally hear of reports like this! I just hope that as this news spreads and people switch to LCHF, the price of bacon doesn't go up! LOL Thanks for the link.7

Lol Piggies gestate quickly so unless there is some terrible cootie that hurts pigs we should be fine! . Bacon is expensive enough already!!2

This may be one of the most profound statements that people need to hear and can be found under the 10th item in this report:
"The fact that prescription medications are now the third most common cause of death globally after heart disease and cancer should be a wake up call that the future of healthcare
will require a strategy that incorporates evidence based lifestyle changes to treat
illness in addition or often as an alternative to medical treatments which come with
side effects."
We have got to understand people don't take drugs because they are deficient in those drugs. They take them to correct (and I use that term loosely) symptoms which would better be resolved by addressing the underlying causes of those symptoms - like EAT REAL FOOD INSTEAD OF THE PROCESSED CARBAGE THAT FILLS OUT STORES, PANTRIES AND REFRIGERATORS!!!!!!!!!!9 -
For a minute I though @DittoDan was back...3

I didn't notice this was from a year ago either. Thanks @LINIA for bumping this up. I have added it and some others found going down the rabbit hole to my library of links, articles and research papers.4 -

Thanks for this link. There is a great document off of this to the Public fHealth Collaboration's weight loss advice, I found it very interesting too.

I saw this. I have been reading it off and on as I have little breaks through the day. It reminds me of the piece Nina T. did in the BMJ a few months ago where she showed how poorly the new US guidelines were in terms of being based on science.2 -
I have been noticing a lot of low carb snacks being advertised recently. Like cheese 'crisp/chip' recipies, promotion of crackling and pork rinds. I even read an article in a popular magazine about bringing back full fat dairy products! Inside I was thinking that clearly the government has made a mistake promoting fat as the problem and now they are back peddling without actually saying they make a mistake.4

I was surprised to see Feltham's name there. He's the Smash the fat guy who did a 5000 kcal LCHF and higher carb challenges a few years ago.2 -

Kerry Gold and other products we use are now in vogue, still so many ppl still prefer "I can't believe it's not butter" .....but progress is being made.1

It seems like many people kind of back into LCHF WOES when nothing else is working for them. Good to see more talk like the above.1

Yay! Thanks for bumping this back up again.1

We who are following the LcHf, IM or Keto and read the forums often find it hard to believe that CiCo is favored by the vast majority of those who post opinions. One reason given is that cutting out rice, pasta, most breads, cakes, grains etc is not sustainable.
The truth is eating at a deficit or staying within the TDEE recommendations isn't something that, by looking at our obesity problem, is possible for most ppl. We could easily just read the majority advice here and accept the ailments and poor scale numbers, that so many in the world are enduring.
It's painful to be out IRL and have someone ask me, how do you avoid obesity? How is it you're not on meds for HBP, Diabetes, cholesterol problems? Yet when the answer is given, the reply is so often....oh eating like that is dangerous.
I'm referring to ppl whom are with me often and have noticed my improvements in terms of having less joint pain , reduced arthritis pain and better blood sugar numbers.
People want to do better, percentage wise what they are doing is not working. The SAD drastically needs reworking.1
