I find menu planning oddly satisfying. It makes me happy to sit down and work out what low carb recipes we're going to try in a week, and order is soothing. Of course, the real trick is to STICK to the menu plan, but the nice thing is I shop to the plan on the Sunday before, so swapping days is no biggie. I'm a happy girl right now :)

You are a much better woman than I! Some days I don't even know what's for dinner until it's time to cook dinner. But I still make "typical" meals since only 25% of my family (me) is in ketosis. I cook everything I've always cooked, I just eat what's LCHF friendly and leave the rest for the 75%.

Oh I wish I could stick to a meal plan! I do plan but things wind up all mixed up and nothing is done the way I intended!! I love how you have done yours. I wish I could be that organized and follow through.

No matter what I make the family I make myself a very low carb version or something simple like a ham, cheese and pickle wrap if I am not very hungry.

P.S. I wish my handwriting was nice like yours!!!

I think my kids think I'm the meanest mom ever - I absolutely REFUSE to cook 2 (or more!) dinners. They eat what I cook or they don't eat -and I don't cook high carb anymore. I only make exceptions when it's easy LOL. Probably tonight (lasagna), Weds and Friday on that meal plan, I can easily make a higher carb side (garlic toast tonight, I'll buy a package and cook half for them tonight and the other half on Weds; Friday the rice).
