Irritating people at pool.

Anyone else have these?
At the moment there are 4 people I tend to get irked by.
1 poser with new girlfriend, tries showing off but does all his strokes so badly the rest of swimmers just stand there and cringe ( usually leaves pool rubbing shoulder or neck)
2 the guy trying to help wife over water fear however dragging her into the middle of main pool when the fast swimmers are doing lengths just scares her more. ( couple of times poor lady's been bawling in changing rooms saying how much she hates it). There's a small pool which is usually empty so don't know why they don't use that.
3 mr no spacial awareness stops halfway through length then walks straight in front of you to get out. When he does complete lengths is usually 8-10 ft wide of his starting position so you have to swim round him or pull up.
4 the talkative one. (A guy at our pool). You stop for a quick breath and he gives you life story then wants yours and anyone else's you may know. Very nice guy but you Darent stop for second when he's around. Have actually seen him collar a lifeguard for an hour and half.

Thankfully I don't have that problem at my current gym but omg I dealt with that all the time back in the days of lifeguarding, both as a lifeguard and a swimmer! And parents who bring their kids into the water during lap swimming hours and let them play and splash around even if someone is trying to swim laps in that lane (and the lifeguards who do nothing about it).
I've always believed pools should post the rules of swimming etiquette, like the outside lanes being the slowest and the middle ones being the fastest, as well as the proper way to lane-split. People can't be expected to know these things without being told but they make life so much easier when followed!0 -
My previous pool did post rules. Didn't stop unattended children swimming in adult only sessions ( no life guard in those sessions).
Luckily the majority of swimmers are nice sensible people, which probably means the idiots stand out more.
Have to admit I do feel slightly sorry for the talkative guy. He's probably just lonely but why not have a coffee after his swim if he wants company.1 -
My pool has rules posted and lane speed marked with lane swim etiquette right on the marker. For the most part, people follow etiquette. Kids??? Wow, that's ballsy.
There's this guy, swims in the lane next to me. My friend and I affectionately call him McSplashy. I've never seen anyone splash so much while swimming. It's so bad that while doing my lengths on flutter board, when I pass him I hold the flutter board between me and him so I don't get splashed in the eyes. lol
There's this *kitten* who now and then ends up in the lane next to us. We swim the slow lane. My friend and I had stopped for a quick break. He stopped, looked at us and said "that must be the smokers lane eh?"0 -
OMG how did you not smack that guy?! It blows my mind the audacity some people have. I admit I have a fear of that happening (because it's happened to me at the gym on things like the treadmill) so I tend to try to take swim breaks on the opposite side of the pool from wherever the person next to me is. I guess the good thing is my breaks aren't very long since I feel like I "need" to get going again if I see the other person coming in my direction, lol!0

Fingers crossed managed to go at usual times and none of the annoying ones were there. Am changing lesson from evening to morning so hopefully will miss the lack of spacial awareness guy.
How rude of the bloke. Hope he's not regular.1 -

I think McSplashy's cousin swims at my gym. I was two lanes away, and he got water in my eyes!0 -

I have a guy I call Splashy McSplasherson - may be related! He uses the hand fins and just smacks the water. Shoulder injury waiting to happen!0
