In my last post I asked about macros and mentioned that I have some dietary restrictions. A trip to an allergist this week has left me with even more restrictions, at least for the next month or so. Here they are: no vitamins or supplements of any kind, no protein powder, no almond/soy/cashew/coconut milk, try to stay away from nuts/nut butters, limit gluten (i.e., she said I could have a sandwich or meal with bread, pasta once a week if I wanted), nothing processed, fruits and vegetables should be eaten cooked not raw, no beer and limit wine intake. As before, no lactose and only chicken, eggs, and fish for proteins.
I will track everything I eat and any reactions and/or how I am feeling that day. She is performing allergy tests via blood work. In addition, she has taken me off of several medications I was taking for allergies and GI issues. Her goal is to "reset" liver and immune functions.
My question is this - should I alter how I had started working out/training before all this came about? I am finding it hard to get my calories and macros in and I don't want to do more harm than good. I was back in the gym after about a year of not working out consistently, was trying to focus more on lifting heavier rather than intense cardio. I had been going to the gym about 5 days a week for a few weeks - this week I have not worked out.

So is this basically an elimination diet? If yes, there are a couple sites I've seen that might help you come up with ideas for how to be creative within your restrictions.

I don't see any reason you have to limit your workouts as long as you're feeling alright while doing them. If you're going to have trouble meeting your calorie goals under these new restrictions, I would suggest that continuing your lifting is better than switching to cardio since lifting doesn't use as many calories. Not sure what your goals are, but if you start dropping weight faster than you would like then you may have to choose - find a way to fit in more calories or drop some of the activity until your diet allows you to resume normal energy intake.
