In the weekly Warrior Mini-Goal Challenge focus on your short term goals.
Focusing on one week at a time, when the big picture seems too overwhelming. Small changes can bring on big results!!
Choose one or more things you want to work on for just this week. Don't set it too high or unreachable!!
Please, make sure your week works for you. Sun to Sat or Mon to Sun, whatever is YOUR week!
You can reach your main goal if you break it into small actionable steps. It could be as easy as 1-2-3!
1) Choose something you know you can do easily.
2) Add more difficult tasks to your plan.
3) These small steps will get you started, motivated & help build routine for long term success!!

Decided to start a new thread for all of us... I think it can rejuvenate us and we can start afresh... I know one thing for sure and that's getting over here to post more often keeps me more aware of where I'm at on my goals and commitment.
I'd really like to work on getting over here more frequently... I suppose this is one of my unofficial goals..

Would love to see each of us get back on board moving forward with our new set goals... we can pick up where we left off and remember each day is a new day!
I'm in a pretty good place right now, I really do think it has a great deal to do with no longer being in knee pain. That knee replacement surgery(s) was the best decision ever...changed my life...and continues too!

Thursday Check-in- water= doing great
- Sleep = heading there in a few moments
- Workouts = in the AM for sure Sunday, likely Sat, and most likely in the morning as well. Lots of kids doing swimming lessons so it's not always predictable when it's available which is a bummer. When do they go go back to school?
- Food = not bad but not quite what I've had in mind yesterday and today but tomorrow will be great.
- Self Kindness....really really what I need right now... I'm emotionally exhausted and need to pamper myself a bit this weekend.
Also...I really hope I don't stay alone in here too long... I'll stay regardless because I want to continue the group so it's here for anyone that does come along...
I'm here to succeed and move forward with my goals and be here to support anyone that needs it. But it's far more enjoyable when we all work together in this group.
Like the good ole days... Wonder what happened to those days. I sure miss those days...
Oh Yea... phone apps killed the groups!

Hearts- what a wonderful start to the month! Thanks for starting this and being such a cheerleader for all of us. You picked great goals and I am so happy for you being in a better place and not dealing with your knee pain.
So I will try to come and post daily and support anyone who needs it. I need a reset so I am posting new goals Monday.

Friday Check-in- Water - drinking plenty... starting to get pretty warm here so it's easy to get plenty of water in.
- Sleep - I sleep so well now, it's wonderful!
- Workouts - Hit the pool this morning and plan to again in the a.m
- Food - Got a bit wobbly on a few choices but they'll always be choices to make for the rest of our lives... So practicing now is probably good... easier the more we do it to avoid trigger items. Least that's how it seems to work for me.
- Learning to treat myself well... well, it's a work in progress that's for sure... but I am pretty wonderful. HA HA HA Next time I'll try and write that without laughing.

Sat. /Sunday Check-in- Water - drinking it
- Sleep - it's wonderful!
- Workouts - Got to the pool Friday, Sat. and Sunday a.m! Took this morning off as I got a bit busy and back at it in the morning.
- Food - dancing on a slippery slope at the moment, need to change that up and quickly.
- Learning to treat myself well... being a work in progress I'll continue to make changes daily.

I'll join! My focus is going to be prep for my fundoplication surgery. After I have this done I will probably never be able to eat like I have for the last 38 years. I'm not a take my time, small bites type of eater. I've always ate like a guy. Since I will have my stomach wrapped around my esophagus to make up for my nearly non-functioning lower esophageal sphincter, I have to learn to take small bites, chew chew chew, then take time before another bite. Or risk having to go to the ER to have food physically removed from my esophagus!
1. Take smaller bites and chew thoroughly.
2. Continue to eat smaller meals and eat more frequently.
3. Walk at least 3 days per week.
4. Make up a realistic to-do list and complete at least 75% of it.
5. Make decent food choices.2 -

- Food - Got my veggies and dark greens together and meals prepped..that's always a help for me having things planned out a bit.

so no workouts, no logging and steps are about the same. but that changes tonight. I will do a workout and can still get in 3 this week. that should also increase my steps. just have to get to it.

- Been feeling sick to my stomach the last few weeks, it's not like the flu or anything, hoping it's not something serious.. I really want to be done with surgeries and stick to being able to just grab my suit and swim and be well!

- Workouts - Hold off on workouts until I see my Doctor this afternoon (Tues)
- Food - Doing well on food..not over eating and it's feeling great to have more control.
- Continue self kindness

Thank you! I have an appt. this afternoon to check a couple things out. I'm sure I'll feel better when I get there and discuss it with her and find out it's not as big of a deal as my mind is making it out to be.0 -

How are things going with you Hon? I imagine it's pretty hot up your way for walking.. it's really quite humid here now. UGH Hot weather is one thing...humidity is a whole different species!
I miss the pool and I was just there on Sunday.. It was suggested I hold off on more strenuous workouts until I find out what's up with me. But then I'll be back to my regularly scheduled program....
Which is...... Just keep swimming Dora........

Hearts- I hope you can get back to the pool soon and feel better soon. I hope you can get to your goals today and be kind to yourself. take care.
You are right in that it is hot and humid but I cannot do the outside walk much anymore because of my hip. walking has to be indoors or on a track. mostly I can do walk aerobics or go to the gym. lately I have not been doing anything. I will keep reminding myself that I can change this.1 -

Do you h ave a pool at your gym? That's why I joined the Y so I could use the pool until I had my knee replacements as it was the only thing my knees could really take. The land classes I had to put off until after. It's nice as I can do pretty much anything now.. though I do the pool. You're working out and it doesn't feel like it!

Edit: I just got a portal message back from the doctor I saw yesterday day and she said: "go ahead and workout and let pain be my guide, no pain, then it's fine." So back to the pool in the morning I go!
I'll have surgery in the next couple weeks and it will be laparoscopic, out patient so I shouldn't be out long from workouts.0 -

Great going with the girls. Have fun at the pool tomorrow. I am not into swimming for exercise and my gym does not have a pool. since I work full time, I need to find something convenient for now. but one never knows about the future.
