Question for veteran lchters

I started lchf June 1st (6 days ago) and have already lost 8 lbs. I'm not complaining, but I'm concerned if that is too fast. I have not been restricting my food and am definitely eating lots. Could it be a large amount of water weight?
Also, looking for any accountability partners, if anyone's interested.

It is mostly water weight. It will eventually slow down so enjoy the "whoosh" while it lasts!2

yep, enjoy it, when you begin again later, as most do you never get the same amazing results, and while LC is wonderful it is not always a lasting guaranteed success for all, older, female, metabolic issues, heath, meds all change how your body will succeed..but remaining 'pure in spirit' and really committing will keep you on the path. everyone seems to struggle at some point for a lot of valid reasons...but the benefits of just losing 5-10% of bodyweight can make years of healthy older life possible.0

Hey Skinny Mama! Wonderful beginning water weight loss! But it's gone! Celebrate your wonderful start! Use this feeling to draw on when things aren't moving as fast, or even stop for a little while! Don't forget to measure, and take pictures too! These changes will help with motivation when the scale doesn't move! My experience has been to just keep plugging away with what works, and time goes by, leading you to success! It's sooooo worth it when you make the choice to stick to it!
Also, the LCD (Low Carber Daily) group is very active, and fully supports LCHF! Great people there too!0
