So, I just jumped back on the wagon on Sunday, it's Tuesday and my hair is a great oily mess. It has to be from this woe. Any remedy? Will it go away?

Going in and out of ketosis, or any huge change in WOE, will upset the hormone and pH balances of your body. Give it some time and your body will quit the nonsense once it balances back out.2

I've always had oily hair...if I go one day without washing it I could fry the french fries we no longer eat using the darn grease. I'd LOVE to know if there is a remedy for oily hair!0

So, it's not because I'm eating too much grease because I'd have to give up bacon. This feeling is so gross. I'm putting some cornstarch on it tonight to hopefully help. I've washed it with baking soda and rinsed it with vinegar.0

I switched to co-washing my hair about this time last year (August, I think), and I've never been happier!

Yeah, my hair's been greasier since starting keto. Especially if I straighten it, which is weird. I contribute it to my body shedding fat, but that could be totally wrong. Either way, it's resolved by shampooing daily, or dry shampoo as needed between washes.0

@KnitOrMiss - gonna try it! I used the Wen knock off at Sally Beauty supply for a while and loved it, but it's still pricey...Suave Naturals? All over it! Thanks!!1

My hair has gotten much LESS greasy going lowcarb. I wash it 1-2/week now, mostly cause I like the smell. Before I often had to wash it every day.0

I used to have very greasy hair. I've only been keto for about 3 months, but in that time my hair is SO much less greasy. I can go an entire week without washing instead of every other day. I haven't changed hair products or anything else, except my way of eating.0
