I have been on Keto for 4 weeks, kicked the sugar addiction I had which was very bad. My body fat was on the obese side. It has dropped 2 % thanks to Keto. I love running but i noticed I am sluggish. I am in ketosis now. I ate so much sugar before i could run alot faster. Does the running improve as your body adjusts to burning fat instead of sugar? Will my speed increase? Anyone have this issue.

How much slower? There is an adaptation period. Fascinating how it works. Endurance exercise seems to stimulate mitochondrial biogenesis. High intensity seems to stimulate mitrochondrial respiration.

Anyway, in the early days, the first mile was the hardest for me. The start of exercise seems to have a higher glucose burn rate. But once you're in a groove, speed improves, endurance improves, and recovery time is faster.

You'll know it when it hits. Give it another couple weeks, and keep your sodium intake high.
