I've been to subway twice in my life and won't go back unless under duress. I love a Burger King, and a KFC. If you do it right it can be low carb if you don't eat anything the day before. My wife loves KFC.

What happened at the Subway you tried?? The ones I've been to are great. I don't mind paying the little bit extra for the salad bowl as I get them to add more of the other veggies (they're all included anyhow so it doesn't have to be extra lettuce). I like Carl's Jr. too - they do a low carb lettuce wrap burger with lots of mayo. I can't even stand the smell of KFC, lol. Funny how different people's tastes can be.

I always order some type of burger without the bun, no onions or ketchup, with extra pickles. Yum! When I check nutrition info on fast food salads, I'm always amazed at how many carbs are hidden in there. Besides, I prefer meat over lettuce.

ETA: I'm so sorry about your accident. I can't believe that ***** hit you again! What a d*****.

@jetsamflotsam Awesome!!! ☺ I stick with salads without croutons whenever I need to choose at a fast food restaurant! Or burgers without buns if that is not an option. Also did you know that you can order a bowl of just sides at taco bell??? Lol! Try it! They may be confused for a minute, so best to go in instead of from drive thru. You can order extra meat in all their menu items, so you can order just the extras too. Chicken, steak, cheese, sour cream and lettuce! Perfectly keto friendly!!! And their online calculator lets you select an item and remove various components. Like grilled steak taco - the sauce and tortilla. Easy to get nutrition info without trying to estimate.

Both times it was the same subway. It's not there now, they moved. Anyway, everything tasted plasticky and fake.
I try not to eat out, but sometimes we've to mix with the great unwashed. I'm going to Chinese Buffet on Saturday. I'm not happy about it really, but needs must.

Being in a rush is hair-raising and then, having an accident and an ASSAULT besides! You did fantastic under that kind of stress. I had Hardee's Lo-Carb burger twice last week while on the road. Delicious! and good to know about Subway because that's my DH's favorite place.

I often hit up the local Sheetz to fill this need. I just order a bowl with lettuce, diced onions, shredded cheese, one of their meat choices (pulled pork, steak, or chicken), and a couple of hard boiled eggs on the side. It's gotten pretty rare anymore, because it actually feels like it takes more effort to stop after work, than to just come straight home and make something here.
    I hate standing in line.

Turns out the second hit may work to my advantage as he's claiming I cut him off (not true!), but the fact he hit me again, and there were witnesses to the road rage means his insurance will likely fully cover my massage and chiro for the whiplash. Worst case scenario is his covers half and mine covers half... The accident itself wasn't so bad... It was the road rage that upset me so much...

Yeah, of course. He assaulted you with his vehicle! But I can definitely see how it would help in terms of the insurance... if there's a positive to be had.
