Any "Over-50" Vegans here?

Hi everyone! I've been away from MFP for awhile and boy it feels GREAT to be back! Like everyone, I've had a lot of changes going on in my life over the past couple of years and now I want to start concentrating on getting myself in better shape/health and making myself a top priority.
I am a Vegan and I've joined a couple of vegan "groups" here on MFP. But l've noticed that the majority of members in these groups are so young that I could be a mother to most of them. And while that idea is sweet to me, I'd also kinda like to find some Vegan folks/friends on MFP that are in my same age group. I feel we might be able to encourage each other and it's always nice to have the ear, opinions/advice of like-minded people. And while I am looking for that among this group, I'm very pleased to be a part of this Over 50 Ladies group just as is. :-)
Feel free to respond here or message me if you wish.
Wishing you all an amazing day!

Hey Journey, just joined Over 50s Ladies and saw your thread. I'm mostly vegan...if there is such a thing. Okay, I admit to eating the occasional yogurt or cheese product, but for the most part I'm a pretty clean eater...since the end of June, that is. I finally worked up my nerve to step on the scale after months of denial and was horrified at the numbers staring back at me. I had reached my bottom and knew I had to make some big changes. Like get off my butt and get some exercise kind of changes as well as clean up my diet. So I started on June 27. So far, so good but extra support from like minded folks would be even better. I've lost 13.4 lbs with 28.6 to go to my target goal. Been exercising 6 days per week as well. Give me a shout if you're still looking for that over 50 support. Wishing you the best.1
