I'm back (in more ways than one)...

Maybe you didn't notice my absence, but I did! And so did my scale!
I've still been eating low carb, but I relaxed on a few things, frustrated with my lack of progress, weird unexplained physical symptoms (mostly the skin rashes/hives), and way-over-scheduled life (I added 3 more part-time/contract jobs on top of the full-time and Saturday job I already had, and scheduling became a daily nightmare--but that's a ridiculous story for another time!).
What I learned in my absence is that little cheat meals (and beverages) here and there can quickly add up to 10-15 pounds on the scale. (I had dipped into the 160s, very briefly, but now I'm back in the 180s as of this weekend.) I also learned that I need to stay connected to my support network--which is y'all!
As of yesterday I decided to go back to staying under 30g total carbs daily, because that's what worked best for managing hunger and cravings. I wish I'd come back at the beginning of the month for the back-to-basics challenge, because that's essentially what I'm doing. I'm also committed to drinking at least 64 ounces of water a day.
Just to reintroduce myself (and introduce myself for the first time to any new folks), I'm Diana, 39 years old, married mom of 4 (a teenager and 3 little ones), who apparently works too much! I started my low carb journey in February 2015, 5 months after giving birth to my baby boy, at 236 pounds. My lowest recorded weight was around 169, but I stalled out in the 170s for a few months (December through June) and was back up to 184 yesterday (that was just a temporary spike, I know, fueled by Mexican food and beer from the weekend, but going above 180 was my signal it was time to get back to it). I'm looking forward to feeling good again, consistently, and to having control over my cravings, specifically my peanut butter obsession.
Enough rambling--I just wanted to announce my return to this lovely world of the Low Carber Daily Forum.

Amazing how quick and easy the creep up happens and how slow and hard the creep down feels. I've been flitting around the edges lately.... Glad you are back, hope I will be soon too!2

Haha, yeah, I read it and saw that too but didn't bother to change it. He was a big baby, for me, at 7 lb 14 oz, or something like that.

This am I woke up and decided enough is enough and I am not playing games anymore! I am completely dedicated to doing this plan to the fullest, It is the only plan that has really ever worked for me but I always fall of the wagon at some point, All is takes is one little slip up and I am done. I am good as long as I don't have that little slip up. This group is amazing and I truly enjoy the support and the motivation.3

Thank you all for the warm welcome!
I've been pretty good this week so far and have lost some of the bloat--down to 181.2 this morning. Unfortunately I also appear to be having some new health issues as of yesterday. Hoping it's nothing and I'm back to my usual self in a couple days!2 -

I hope it clears up ASAP for you!
I recently found that pickle juice is a great bloat cure for me when I eat too much veg, which doesn't agree with me for whatever reason. But, pickle juice reduces the bloating and pressure crazy fast for me! Even better than ACV!1 -
Welcome back.
I've had a bit of weight creep up on me too. You have company in getting things back on track.0 -
I've been rooting for you all along! And I'm on my way back down on the scale too. I learned that it really doesn't take too much of an increase in carb intake for me to easily gain weight, so I'm back to being extra good again too.0
