Hey everyone
What are your thoughts on Shakeology? I really love it but it is so pricey. I have not found anything similar to it. While I want to maintain buying it, it is breaking my pocket...
Just wondering what everyone thinks

Hi Wendy!I definitely cannot afford Shakeology. I've researched some alternatives and there were a lot of people who've done the research, tested the alternatives, and come up with some good lists of other products. I personally use Orgain Organic Plant Based Protein Powder in Sweet Vanilla Bean. It is GMO free, gluten/dairy/soy free, made in the US, and easy to digest. It packs 21 grams of protein (4 more than Shakeology) and has 150 calories per serving (less than Shakeology).
I enourage you to check out Alt Protein (http://www.daystofitness.com/shakeology-alternatives/), Days to Fitness (http://www.daystofitness.com/shakeology-alternatives/), and Best Meal Replacement Shakes (http://bestmealreplacementshakesreviews.com/shakeology-alternatives/). You should be confident to make a decision based upon these sites. Keep in mind you may not find an identical nutrition count but if you're eating healthy on the Fix and exercising, I think you will be successful.1 -
Same as above just keep in mind- shakeo has different stats than just plain "protein powder" so I would encourage you to try and get a replacement that is similar (see my tips post about omnihealth alternative). having the added "bonus" ingredients actually made me feel good vs protein powder didn't really do much in that department. Also Nemo, or anyone, have you tried body by Vi (now Visalis or whatever)? I heard good things back in the day, been curious, did not look at ingredients yet. sorry for the slight tangent1

I too have been looking for an alternative. Keep me posted with anything new you try.2

I agree the Shakeology looks pretty pricey.... I am on the hunt for a no sugar protein/GF/dairy free....so essentially plant based... its been tough to find. I tried pea protein and hate the texture...0

The Garden of Life looks good.. I like the probiotic option.0 -
I have never used Shakeology because of the price, but have been using Garden of Life Raw Protein for over a year, and I really love it on multiple levels, but mostly taste, ingredients and price (about $60/month if using a whole scoop once per day).
Check out this article for a little run down:

I'm definitely not saying Garden of Life is better than Shakeology (esp since I've never used Shakeo), but GOL has worked really well for me.0 -
I am using Ideal Shake. It tastes 10 times better than shakology with less sugar and more protein. I add 1% milk to mine. Sometimes berries.0

I am using Vega One0
